Eight healthy men were the subjects in this experiment, and they were in average 19.0±0.7 in age, 168.2 ±3.7cms in height, 60.8±4.6kgs in weight, and 11.1±2.5% in percentage of body fat. After 30 min. rest on land, the subjects walked on the water treadmill, \"Flowmill\" (made by Japan Aquatec Co., Ltd.), for 60 minutes with water level set at xiphisternum for each subject under water temperature at 25, 30, and 35℃. All subjects were tested under the burden of 50% of V^^.O_2max, which was calculated from the treadmill walking on land. The results of the heart rate showed: Heart rate increased rapidly about 50-60 beats per minutes from the start till 10 minutes of exercise under all water temperatures; after then, it was kept stable. During heart rate became stable, it was constantly higher at 35 < 25 < 30℃. In comparison of different water temperatures, statistically significant difference were detected between 30℃ and 35℃ during 30 minutes till the end of exercise. The results of the oxygen intake showed: Oxygen intake under all water temperatures, it rapidly increased at 100 ml/min from the start till 10 minutes of exercise; after then it was kept stable. In comparison of different water temperatures, statistically significant differences were detected between 25℃ and 35℃ and between 25℃ and 30℃ at the start of exercise.
