('As for me, an eel.') which we may use in a restaurant to order broiled eel has been called the term of 'unagi-sentence' by Japanese grammarians. The study of unugi-sentence seems to have been shifted from the field of sytax to the field of pragmatics, gradually. I will argue the problem of 'grammaticalization' of this sentence type successively from the view point of linguistic pragmatics.
