Two hundreds and two university students were asked to rate how often they have experienced various involvement behavior from their parents during their elementary, junior-high, and high school periods. Factor analyses were performed and 3 factors were found. In \"supportive or controlling involvement\", parents were found to move from using controlling to supportive involvement, as their children grew up. Also children rated supportive involvement positively. In \"emotional involvement\", some children rated parents' involvement positively, but another children rated just oppositely. It suggested that some kinds of involvements were perceived as controlling.
