In this paper, on the contrary, I pointed out the aspects of deviation rather than the influence in Hojio=ki. \"MISAGO (an osprey)\" is a case in point. \"MISAGO (an osprey)\" was the word generally used in Japanese poem in Heian period. Yet it was given a new meaning in Hoji=ki.
