Draw- a-man test as an index of the development of expressive activity and the tasks of the modulation of handwriting pressure following verbal instructions were given to twenty-eight preschool children. The results were as follows: (a) Children who belonged to lower groups of drawing development showed a tendency to have more difficulties of modulating handwriting pressure. (b) In these children the writing pressure was excessively or reversely modulated.
