The purpose of this study was to collect fundamental data on modulation of handwriting pressure following verbal instruction in students with visual impairment. The results were as follows: (1) Handwriting pressure of the totally blind students was weaker than that of the partially sighted ones, (2) all students with visual impairment could modulate their handwriting pressure following given verbal instruction, but (3) handwriting pressure increased excessively in congenitally blind students in the double-force condition and so on.
