Questionnaires with a 5-point scale form were given to 32 elementary school teachers who attended the lecture for leaders of English activities at elementary schools in June of 2003. The questionnaire consisted of 41 items. 19 out of 41 items asked about the problems with English activities at elementary schools, while 22 items asked about what contents of future in-service training the teachers hoped to learn about.
