I will argue that an in-situ wh-phrase is not subject to 'sbsorption' but forms a kind of operator-variable chain at LF with the help of an already existing operator-variable chain, which is referred to as a parasitic chain in this paper. It is shown that the superiority effect appears if the formation of operator-variable chains makes some difference in cost among competing multiple wh-questions, and that the analysis here can not only explain the presence or absence of superiority between two wh-phrases but also cover the cases with three wh-phrases.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"上越教育大学"}]},"item_10002_relation_12":{"attribute_name":"論文ID(NAID)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_type":"isIdenticalTo","subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"AN10284863","subitem_relation_type_select":"NAID"}}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0915-8162","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_10002_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Noji, Miyuki"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"14845","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2015-06-17"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"kiyo15_2-24.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"663.3 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"kiyo15_2-24.pdf","url":"https://juen.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/4861/files/kiyo15_2-24.pdf"},"version_id":"8721e47f-d122-4212-8689-128169602ee5"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"Multiple Wh-question","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Superiority Effect","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Wh-movement","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Economy","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Multiple Wh-Questions and Parasitic Chains","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Multiple Wh-Questions and Parasitic Chains","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"17","path":["998"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2009-05-25"},"publish_date":"2009-05-25","publish_status":"0","recid":"4861","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Multiple Wh-Questions and Parasitic Chains"],"weko_creator_id":"17","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2024-03-11T04:58:55.807718+00:00"}
