本研究の目的は，小学校時代に授業あるいはクラブ活動における英語活動経験の有無により，中学生とその保護者の小学校英語に対する意識に違いがあるかどうかを明らかにすることである。2002年11月に山梨県公立Ⅰ中学校において，中学1年生163名，その保護者108名を対象に5段階尺度形式のアンケート（生徒用は41項目， 保護者用は43項目）を実施した。調査の結果，生徒は小学枚時代の英語経験による差はほとんどみられなかったが，小学校時代に英語経験のある子どもの保護者は，小学校での英語教育について期待と関心が強いことが明らかになった。 |

This study investigates whether or not differences exist between junior high school students who have experienced English activities at elementary school and those who have not, as well as between parents whose children having experienced English activities at elementary school and those whose children have not. Questionnaires with a 5-point scale format were given to 163 students of I public junior high school in Yarnanashi prefecture and their 108 parents in November of 2002. The questionnaire for the students consisted of 41 items, while the one for their parents consisted of 43 items. The results showed that: 1 English activities at elementary school made almost no differences for junior high school students, and 2 Parents whose children have experienced English activities at elementary school showed strong expectations and concerns toward the activities. |
