| 内容記述 | 日本のイギリス地理教育研究において課題である初等地理授業実践の実態解明を目的として，現地調査を遂行した。公立学校3校，私立学校1校を訪問調査した結果，全ての学校で，教育雇用省・資格カリキュラム局による「単元計画例」が，学校カリキュラムや授業案作成にあたり大きな影響力を与えていた。しかし，その使用は各学校の環境に応じて選択的であり，学校・教師の裁量は大きい。地理学習においては，特定テキストブックのコースブック的使用はみられず，地図学習教材を含め，発達段階に応じた多様な教材が使用されている。さらに，地理科と歴史科の統合など教科横断的なカリキュラム編成へ推移する傾向が，一部公立学校ではみられる。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | Geography lesson practices in English primary schools have not been researched in Japanese geography education researcher. Author have carried out pioneering survey of practices at 4 English primary schools from 2005. This reveals that all schools refer and adapt DfEE/QCA Scheme of Works Geography, but not adopt it as is. Schools make a choice among Scheme of Works according to their environment, and these organize diversity of curriculum and lesson.In geography lessons, there are no course book, various textbooks, maps, and resources these correspond with developmental stages are used. Some state schools have tendency to adapt cross curriculum that show topic work or integration of geography and history. | |||||||||||
