小学校の休憩時間における集団的遊戯活動を調査することは，子どもの集団内における社会化を明らかにする上で重要なことである。特に，ゲーム内の分業が明確なベースボール型ゲームに焦点を当てることで，子ども達の遊戯集団内での地位構造が明らかになる可能性がある。しかし，小学校を対象とした遊戯活動に関する研究は，授業に関するものが中心であり，休憩時間の遊戯時間を調査した例は少ない。そこで，本研究は，ハンドベースボールを対象にし，守備位置や活動量の実態を調査し，ハンドベースボールを対象とした調査をするための基礎的資料を得ることを目的とした。調査の結果，小学校におけるハンドベースボールでは，野球とは異なる守備位置が発現することが判明した。また，ベースボール型ゲームは，運動量が少ないことが指摘されてきたが，今回調査したハンドベースボールは，攻撃時間が極めて短く，一定の運動量を有した活動であることが判明した。最後に，特殊な守備位置の発現と，比較的短い攻撃時間は，投げ当てという特殊ルールに起因していることが明らかになった。以上のことから，児童が休憩時間に実施しているハンドベースボールは，同じベースボール型ゲームである野球とは，かなり異なる実施形態であることから，データーの収集に先立って，個々の事例について，直接観察で，守備位置やゲームの展開の速さを十分吟味しておく必要があることがわかった。 |

Studying collective play activities during recess in elementary school are extremely important for clarifying the socialization of children in play groups. Baseball-type games have, especially, distinctive features in defensive division of labor. Moreover, the social status of children in play groups may be reflected by the division of labor. Many studies about collective play activities in elementary school were interested in the PE classes, but have not focused on during recess. Therefore, this study examined actual defensive positions and time of activities in hand-baseball during recess. These data will also become informative for further research. The results are as follows: First, the actual defensive positions that emerged in children's hand-baseball were completely different from the positions in official baseball. Second, offensive playing time per inning was extremely short. Although it is believed that baseball-type games do not offer sufficient physical activity, we found that hand-baseball during recess offered a reasonable amount of physical activity. Finally, the emerging of unique defensive positions and short offensive playing time can be assumed to be due to one special rule called nage-ate. These results suggest that hand-baseball during recess in elementary school has an entirely different embodiment than baseball. Direct observation for each case will be needed for further confirmation of these results. |
