本研究は，「チンドン」の音楽を題材として，小学校高学年における日本音楽への導入を試みた研究である。過去には「チンドン屋」と呼ばれてきたこの演奏活動は，19世紀半ばに起源をもち昭和30年代に最も盛んに行われた。しかし，この演奏活動が，これまで音楽教育で応用されることはなかった。その理由は，学校の音楽教育が志向する「音楽」の価値観と，巷で行われた路上音楽との価値観とが大きく異なっていたためである。しかし，近年の多様な音楽文化の時代に，あらためて「チンドン」の音楽的特質に注目すると，そこには，歌舞伎や民俗芸能の音楽の特徴との共通点が多いことがわかる。共通の特徴とは，臨機応変な音楽作りや，様々な発音具を楽器として取り入れて音色に活かす点である。また，身体的運動を伴って演奏されることも，新内節の門付けや，仏教の行道の音楽と共通する。今回，実践研究において，「チンドン」を題材としたことが，児童の音楽活動への意欲を高め，豊かな表現力の育成に有効であるとともに，日本音楽への導入教材としても有用であることが分かった。 |

This research focuses on the introduction of Japanese music into the primary school curriculum (5^<th> to 6^<th> years) by studying the music of chindon. The origins of the musical activity of what was once referred to as chindon-ya dates back to the mid-19^<th> century. Chindon became highly popular from the mid-1950s, but this form of musical activity has not yet been studied in the context of music education. The reason for this seems that what is considered properly "musical" for music education is far removed from the musical activities of popular street musicians. In recent years, however, as musical values have become more pluralistic, the music and the musical characteristics of chindon are being rethought. Chindon shares characteristics with kabuki and folk music: flexible and improvisational music-making, the employment of a large number of sound sources and instruments resulting in many timbres, and the use of body movements similar to what is found in Shinnai, in traditional door-to-door performances, and in the gyodo of Buddhist music. Using chindon in music education heightens the desire of pupils to make music and foster rich expressive possibilities. In addition, chindon appeared to be useful as a means for pupils to enter the world of Japanese music. |
