| 内容記述 | 我が国の聾学校において手話がどの程度導入されているか，その実態を明らかにする目的でアンケート調査を実施した。聾学校100校に調査用紙を郵送し，75校からの回答を得た。調査内容は授業中や授業以外に手話を使っている教師や子供がどの程度いるか，父兄からの手話導入の要望の有無，将来の手話導入計画の有無などであった。調査の結果，全く手話を使用していない聾学校の割合は約35％であった。一方，小学部以上において学校全体で手話を導入している聾学校は全体の約25％あり，一部の教師や子供が手話を使用している聾学校まで含めるとその割合は約65％に達した。父兄からの手話導入の要望，将来手話導入の計画の有無の結果などから，今後手話を導入する聾学校はますます増えるであろうと予測された。手話や指文字を使わず音声言語中心の聴覚口話法が主流であった我が斑の聴覚障害児教育は，現在変貌を遂げつつあると思われた。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to investigate how many teachers and children are using sign language in schools for the deaf. Questionaire sheets were sent to 100 schools for the deaf and 75 schools answered the questionaire. The results are as follows; (1) In 25% of the schools, sign language is consistently being used throughout both the elementary and secondary departments. (2) Sign language is being used partially in 40% of the schools. (3) Sign language is more popular in western Japan than in eastern Japan. (4) In 40% of the schools, parents of deaf children are requiring the school to use sign language. (5) Tweleve percent of the schools have a plan to use sign language in the future and 68% of the schools are under consideration, excluding the schools in which sign language is already being used consistently. (6) As a conclusion, it is considered that the number of schools in which sign language is used will increase. | |||||||||||
