本研究は幼稚園の3歳クラスの幼児が数ヶ月にわたって自発的な遊びとして展開した怪獣退治遊びの実態を解明し，考察することを目的とした。具体的には幼児の活動の事例とその保護者が質問紙に回答した家庭でのテレビ視聴や遊びの実情を分析して，怪獣退治遊びが展開できた環境条件，幼児の個人的条件そしてそれに先行した遊びとの関係を考察した。怪獣を探し戦うような遊びは探検遊びと呼ばれる。その多くは教師によって絵本や物語に出てくる架空の生物（例えば，竜や怪獣など）が現実の世界にいると知らされた子どもたちが驚いて始まるといわれている。本研究の事例では，そのような教師が幼児を活動に引き込む援助はなされなかった。そこで架空の生物が実在するように教師が演じて子どもを探検活動に引き入れる援助の意味を考察した。 |

This study aims to examine features of a series of childrens' spontaneous plays fighting against monsters in a preschool class of three year olds. We analyzed a series of their play times and their parents' answers to the questionnaires about TV programs their children watched and their play habits at home. Then we examined enviromental and personal factors in these situations, and the relationship between these play times and their preceding ones. It is said that most of childrens' explorations or explorational play like play-fighting against monsters may be prompted by astonishment when they listen to their teachers' fictions that imaginary animals (e.g., dragons and monsters) may exist in the real world. The preschool teacher, whom we observed, however, rarely told these fictions which would induce the childrens' fighting against monsters. Thus, we investigated teachers' roles of making them believe in the imaginary animals, to instigate explorational activities. |
